Each Writing Fundamentals Unit of Study includes an explicit and sequential writing workshop curriculum accompanied by a carefully selected collection of touchstone/mentor texts, and was developed based on models of best practice in writing workshop instruction. The K-8 Units of Study align to state standards, expose students to a variety of genres at appropriate grade levels, and incorporate the 6+1 Trait Writing instruction into each mini-lesson.
